Tygerberg Nature Reserve is an ideal place for hikers and fauna enthusiasts. Bird watchers will also feel right at home here as there are 130 species of bird to identify. Close on 500 species of flora have been recorded of which 12 are threatened with extinction.
Seven kilometers of hiking trails give the walker a wide variety of routes to choose from and perhaps along the way you will be able to spot some of the 50 mammals and 33 different types of butterfly that are found in the reserve. Entry gate to this magnificent area is located at Totius Street, Welgemoed, Cape Town North.
